Celebrate the small wins

Why noticing progress, even a little, keeps us moving forward.

We are terrible at celebrating small wins, and it costs us everything. The big victories are rare by definition, so if only they count, you will spend most of your life feeling like a failure while quietly doing hard things every single day. I started a practice that changed this: every evening, one line in a notebook, one thing I did today that yesterday's me would not have done. Made the hard call. Walked instead of drove. Apologized first. Reading a month of those lines does something no motivational video can: it proves to you, in your own handwriting, that you are the kind of person who moves forward. Momentum is not a feeling. It is an evidence file. Start yours tonight. Then celebrate accordingly, because a base built one brick at a time is still a base.
