Six months of showing up

Consistency mattered more than perfection, and the small changes finally began to add up.

Community story

My track record with self-improvement was All January, gone by Valentine's Day. This time I changed one thing: the goal became showing up, not performing. Bad workout still counted as a workout. Ten minutes still counted. I gave myself explicit permission to be unimpressive as long as I was present. Six months in, something quietly astonishing happened: the small changes started compounding. Weight down, sleep better, confidence up, and I cannot point to the day it turned because there was no day it turned. It was a hundred ordinary Tuesdays in a row. Showing up is the whole secret, and it is available to everyone.
