Finding faith in uncertainty

I stopped needing every answer and started trusting the next right step.

Community story

When my career fell apart at thirty-four, I demanded answers from everyone, including God, and got silence. What slowly replaced my demand for a plan was something gentler: a trust in the next right step. I could not see the whole staircase, but I could see one stair. Take it, then look again. That practice carried me through a job search, a move, and a season of depression. Faith stopped being a set of explanations and became a way of walking. I still prefer certainty. But I no longer need it to move, and that has made all the difference.
