Ten minutes became a habit

I began with a short walk after dinner and slowly built a routine I actually enjoy.

Community story

My entire fitness plan for the first six months was a ten minute walk after dinner. No gym membership, no apps, no guilt math. Some nights the walk stretched to thirty minutes because I felt good. Other nights it stayed ten, and that still counted. Around month four I added some pushups against the kitchen counter, because the walks made me curious what else I could do. Two years later I lift three days a week and hike on weekends. But I tell everyone the truth: none of it started until the bar was low enough that I could never talk myself out of it.
